Hey! Nice to see that there ARE some other canadians interested in affiliate programs!

Anyone offering bilingual programs? Yeahhhh...I'm in Quebec... I have foudn a few but they are so badly promoted in the search engines that they are VERY hard to find

I have another question... If I use clibank to launch my affiliate program, is it still considered a canadian affiliate program?

    Bonjour Stephanie,

Nice to see another person into affiliate marketing that lives in Montreal. The only programs I could think of off the top of my head that are billingual, Canadian and aren't in your list are Amazon.ca and RadioShack.ca.

As for using clickbank, I would say yes you are still a Canadian affiliate program even if you pay in American dollars (as more than the majority of the Canadian programs I'm affiliated with do).

    Good luck!

    Bonjour x0dus,

Thanks for the Amazon.ca and RadioShack, I'll look into it. I know that amazon has a bilingual site but the affiliate registration process and everything is not bilingual, but that's ok.

I am also happy to see I am not the only one in Montreal using affiliate programs!

Are you an affiliate of 5 pillar? I think it is the best program ever, and it happens to be canadian as well.

Which programs do you work with in Canada?

    Merci

    Bonjour Som,

I will continue in English so everyone can read

Yes, it is true that it is pretty hard to find complete bilingual programs. I have found a few but they are indeed very rare.

I do work mostly in English but it is nice to be able to build some website in French as well don't you think?

No I'm not with 5 pillar, never heard of them before. I briefly looked at their site and didn't really care for what they sold.

I can only think of two major (i.e. four digit commission cheques) affiliate programs that I work with in Canada, and now one of them is owned by a major American company. So I guess that means there's just one. The company I work with is Montreal based and runs under Commission Junction. I've talked with the VP of marketing several times and he told me that I'm one of their top affiliates... They sell a distinctly Canadian product, but I'd rather not mention their name as I am a bit paranoid regarding my best programs.

Wow! Why are you paranoid? Had a bad experience? Someone else stole your ideas?

I admit that when too many affiliates sell the same stuff it can be pretty useless. But still, depending on the type of product, the same thing can be sold on two totally different target audience website. Don't you think?

Yeah someone ripped off my site and when I complained they threatened to sue me for libel. This happened a while ago (maybe four or five years ago) so I now as a general principal don't tell others how I make my money unless I know them offline. Paranoid maybe, but better to play it safe...

I totally agree with you X0dus. I had someone copy one of my site entirely, changing only his name, and it is very frustrating because you don't have much to do in that case.

    Salut la Belle Province!

Sur www.cibleclick.com et www.cibleclick.com/eng, vous trouverez des programmes en anglais et beaucoup de programmes en français. Par exemple celui de votre compatriote Wedoo!

    Check it out!

    Bonjour Bizzboss,

Merci pour l'info, j'y jetterai un coup d'oeil. Je crois que cibliclick est plus français que québécois par contre, mais on peut les utiliser en effet.

    Salut Stephanie,
I am pleased to see that in this forum we can communicate in French if we want. I am also from Montreal and I speak French. I am currently living and working in Toronto. I checked your site and I am happy to know where to find Quebec affiliate programmes.
Have you ever heard of weblock pro? I suggest you get it to protect your site from thieves. Here is the link:

    Allo Stephanie.

There are a few programs out there that offer French language websites. After only a quick search, I found:

    WesternUnion.com (Linkshare)
    Postershop-Canada.com (France french though)
    Strawberrynet.com (CJ)

I encourage you to go over my site and look around as I've easily joined over 200 merchant programs offering Canadian pricing. I'm sure you'll find more that offer French language.

    Good luck!

    Dan
