    Before I quit! - I just need 10 Members...
Since this site is supposed to be about affiliate marketing, I hate to ask this question, but since sometimes a political issue shows up...

All I need is just 10 members out of the 78,508 on ABW, to agree or disagree with me on this post: http://www.abestweb.com/forums/1132376-post35.html

    Thanks!

I have no idea what you're talking about (I avoid the political threads as much as possible) but I'll agree with you because I'd hate to see you quit anything and you've never steered me wrong.

Not "really" sure but I get the feeling that Mr. Sal doesn't believe these political threads belong here - WHICH THEY DON'T. This political stuff belongs elsewhere, not on an affiliate marketing forum. Of course, the majority of new "members" doen't have a clue who or what that thread concerns.

The political thread were an experiment when things were dead here. They can end at any time if as Mr. Sal asks that just 10 active members say close them.

I would prefer that they be closed.

Close them. Have 60 days of being inundated with negative ad campaigns and really don't care to have more political hoopla...

I'll give it a close vote. They've ran their course, and people have had their chance to get in on it.

By my count, kaizen, mayfly, and convergence count as 3 members each. With my vote I think that makes 10.

I'm not taking a position on the issue itself, as while I enjoy debating politics, I don't need to do it here if that is the rule. I can see going back to the old days when we discussed affiliate marketing here. But this vote reminds me of when I was in Junior High stagecrew. At the end of my first year on stagecrew, it was time for the "crew" to vote for the next semester's Stage Manager. Note - the teacher who ran it and I did not get along. Well, I won the student vote by like 3 votes, and the teacher then said he had four votes. and the runner-up became stage manager. (Assistant is a thankless, lonely job.)

Why not post a poll and give all the members the opportunity to vote over a period of several days. I have a strong feeling that they will vote to outlaw political discussions, but either the powers that be should make a reasoned decision (which is fine) or if there is a "vote" it should be a real vote.

I understand the point hound, but we haven't had anyone speak up in favor of political discussion here... What I'm seeing is a resounding no sentiment from all involved. I hope you didn't take my previous post to mean I was overruling anyone, just looking to put the nail in the coffin rather than putt around with things.

Actually, close them or keep them, either way is fine with me.

I stay away from the threads I'm not interested in reading or paticipating, as always.

Now, since Mr. Sal asked nicely for 10 menbers...

Just hate to see Mr. Sal quit who know what...

    Make that 11!

While any political or religion thread may sound like a good idea at a given moment, they usually bring a lot of stress and unnecessary fights between the ABW members...

We all like to win, so sometimes is better not to play any of these two games here, because eventually someone will lose at the end.

They were just bait threads so that that the political thugs could have their fun.

CLOSE them; there no place for them on the forum.

    Make that 12 to close!

ABW should focus 99% of the time on affiliate marketing related info, education for merchants and bringing merchants and affiliates together. We can have fun but problem is politics and religion usually gets out of hand with both sides wanting to win argument and then it's no fun and most poeple stay away, like Sal says.

Close enough, I have 10 against so all three threads will be closed. In keeping with this we will outlaw political and religious threads. If you see any that head in that direction post in them and we can close or remove those comments.
