We built a quick little petition site during the NFL ref issue, and are looking to shut it down.
Problem is, we have near 500k signatures on the site (email and names).
I don't want to sell the list, but am curious if there is another way to monetize the site.
It has little traffic now that the refs are back.

Were those who signed the petition informed that they were going to be marketed to afterwards? We did not change as we grew older; we just became more clearly ourselves.

So the contact info isn't usable..
Not sure you can monetize this particular domain, but you obviously had a winning formula in place (not easy today!). I would try to brainstorm a new idea - if this site worked, a longer-term initiative could do very well (cpm advertising).

We have been slowly building little things like this, but never with a 5 hour turnaround to launch. So we missed a ton of stuff, but the formula is in place for the next one.
I will just have to chalk this one up as a learning experience.
