I just recieved this from a fellow system administrator:
    quote:

You might want to forward this to anyone you know using ebay or paypal. I haven't confirmed this with either organization, but the headers, etc on this message make it appear that someone is fraudulently posing as ebay or paypal support. Beware.
I received one just like it the other day claiming to be from 'support@paypal.com'.
Replying to the or yields a bounce-o-gram from either organization asking you to please use some stupid web form they put up, so for all I know it could be legit. Somehow I doubt it. Regards,

Lol, They are scammers after your details. Probably gonna hit you to refresh your cc details and then you'll see some money dissappear out of your account tout suite.

The WHOIS data is probably fake as well, probably the WHOIS data is for whoever's stolen credit card was used to buy the domain.

I've received several of those. I always check the details to see who it is from.

Our local news did a big story on this actual email campaign.

We agree with Mark from Dotster.com on fraud potential.

I'm sure Mark is looking in to this issue, but we will be doing same and file an abuse complaint report. I assume that FFoc has forwarded this email to Ebay/PayPal service reps?

Actually, I had assumed that the sysadmin who sent it to me did so already. I'll go ahead and forward it anyway.
