    Thanks daiarian
I follow many key people on Twitter, I read news portals, and
I enjoy reading magazines that specialize in web design &
development. Subscribing to free industry magazines is a start
and I also go to related trade shows if/when I get the chance.

In addition to Affiliate Summit there are related trade shows I try to
attend. ad:tech will be in New York City soon and I found out that if
I register in advance I can get an "Exhibit Hall Pass" [or whatever
euphemism such a pass is called] for free.
I go for the magazines and any helpful literature I can get.
    I live commuting distance
outside of NYC so if free exhibit hall passes are offered for related tech/trade
shows I sign in advance for free passes.
I try to research speakers' names. If someone has written an article I
try to see what other articles has that person written?

At the moment I follow 2,921 people on Twitter -- I'm looking for articles, not
a date although dates are okay too
5,306 people follow me on Twitter and the number stays steady.

daiarian, Derek Halpern is someone who applies psychology
    to Internet Marketing very well.
He has a website called Social Triggers.
    Check out the latest:
How I Create Products That Sell (and Sales Pages That Convert)
You can follow him on Twitter, you can Fan/Like him on Facebook:
    https://www.facebook.com/socialtriggers/info

He offers a newsletter & email updates.

This is how I find articles: if someone or an entity has published
something worthwhile that I can apply to affiliate marketing then
I sign up for the email updates etc...

    Wink
If you've put your site into the Site/Banner/Logo Review you've
probably been told to put your important information above the fold.
That was great advice when everyone used a desktop pc to view the
Internet: this is no longer the case and websites need to be adjusted
in order to adapt to as many devices as possible.

    KISSmetrics has a great article:
Why The Fold Is A Myth - And Where To Actually Put Your Calls To Action

Reference to the "Fold" my take is that if our visitor has passed through the fold we have a captive and interested audience very likely to buy.

There is more to this game than links!

There has always been a probability that users would not scroll down
and that is way important things were supposed to go about the fold.
    Read this for a reason:

I can see real advantages to this column format but CSS is beyond my ken (as they say in Scotland)

Many thanks again for the info.

daiarian, do you have websites built on html code
or are your sites strictly Wordpress ones?

If all your sites are Wordpress ones then I agree
that fiddling with the coding is not worth it. Maybe you'd
want to look at a different theme.

If your sites are based on WYSIG editors you might be able to learn.

All sites are WP, I am going to look for a theme that gives a column format.

    Thanks
