    $10 Credit to My Account
Has anyone had a $10 credit/fee to their account? Is this for inactivity? There's no details when I drill down on the report.

I did contact support for an explanation but if anyone has some insight to this type of activity that would be great.

How does that work? It seems like stealing to me. They've received the money from the merchant and are earning interest on it. They also have my balance that they don't have to pay until it reaches $50. It really does seem unethical, don't you think. What happens if I reach $0, will I owe them money for inactivity or will they just close my account. Do they consider inactivity, purely from a commission perspective?

You agreed to it when you signed up. Nothing unethical about it. This is called "Performance" Marketing.

If I remember correctly it's based on sales activity. If you haven't had a sale in 90 days they deduct $10 and then $10 every month thereafter until you have a sale or your account balance reaches zero, whichever comes first. At some point they deactivate your account at which point you can contact them and reopen it...

LOL. Yeah. I also changed my model. More of a blogger these days. Trying to re-evaluate things. That's why there's the inactivity. I was $4.87 away from the magical $50. Oh well.

You can always make a small purchase through one of your links - any sale is a sale.

Years ago I tried promoting some legit Clickbank gardening books. I had 2 sales and that was it. CB took the commissions over the next few months. Bye bye to them.

I don't know why I never thought of making a purchase. Maybe it's because this never happened to me before.

Update! A CJ customer support member just responded. It was for being dormant but she is going to request a one time refund. I must say that I'm impressed with the quick response and care provided. Maybe there has been a change at CJ.

I received the refund! That was quick. This is the best customer service I've ever received from CJ.

My 4 year old is into Tinker Bell. I will buy her a DVD this month and another in a month or two. It will prevent being deactivated and will get me to $50 after the second purchase.
I probably should double check that they allow affiliates to purchase through their links.
