Question best alternatives to google adsense for a blog?
    Hello,

I am having trouble getting my site approved for google adsense as it is a poker blog and they apparently have a lot of strict rules about gambling-related sites.

Can anyone recommend good alternatives to adsense?

    Thanks!

    uh.... real products maybe?

There are plenty of merchants out there that sell poker tables, chips, cards, and related and complementary items.

Sorry Rhia, but I don't see any value on that site.

Also, the first thing I got there was a popup asking for first name and email.

Well Mr. Sal, when you get past the dumb pop-up
    there's a nice essay in 2 sections:
Why Would You Want An Alternative To AdSense?
    and
    Alternatives To Google AdSense

There's substantial info concerning alternatives to Adsense (even if
some of the advice is obvious to us) but I wasn't going to copy & paste
    the essay.

I didn't explain the entire strategy of my site because I was trying to just ask a brief specific question, but I do intend to use affiliate links to get commissions on products like poker chips, cards, etc. However, I also want to use some non-intrusive ads to generate revenue.

    Have you looked into chitika.com?
I haven't used it but I am aware it is an alternative.

I posted on another forum, and got a lot of suggestions to try (adbrite, smowtion, chitika, infolinks and several others I forget) and I ended up going with adbrite for now. Personally I think infolinks just makes a site look spammy as hell and its annoying to me when I am reading on a website and every tenth word is a double underlined ad link.

that many at ABW would like to know

Take a look at Yahoo! Bing Network Contextual Ads powered by Media.net
This appears to be the Bing alternative many of us have been waiting for.
