Multiple Marketing Channels Question - My Advertisers
    Hi,

I signed up for linkshare with website "A". This was a couple of years ago. Recently I applied to a couple of advertisers and was approved.

I don't want to use links to those advertisers on website "A," rather I'd like to use them on website "B", a site I'm now building.

I started a new marketing channel for website "B" for tracking purposes, but none of my approved merchants appear under website "B".

Does it matter which site I use to get links?
Do I just get the link from site "A" and use it on site "B"?

I started a new channel so I know in the future from which site sales are from.

Not finding my answer on LinkShare's help page.

Would someone mind clarifying? I need to know which number to add into a PopShops store I'm building for site "B".

    Thanks

Ok, Now I'm seeing I may have to apply to each Linkshare advertiser again for each marketing channel I set up. True? Is this what you do?

If you have channels set up you need to apply to the merchants desired for each channel.

Ok. I'm seeing that. If I don't use channels and just use the original site "A", do I still need to reapply?

I think your answer is in your question

If you are only using original Site A why would you reapply?

Sorry...I misspoke. I meant to say: My the advertisers I signed up with agreed to site "A", the old, needs to be re-done site. I did not have site "B" listed on my account when I applied. If I don't use channels can I use links on any site? I can reapply under for each new site, I'm not in very deep yet and it's not a hassle, I'm just trying to make sure I'm doing it all correctly.

The way I read things, it looks like I'm expected to reapply to each merchant each time I build a new site. Just want to know now so I don't screw things up down the road.

BTW, thanks for replying to so many of my very basic questions.

You will need to reapply to each merchant if you want that merchant on a new site (channel). Some merchants, not all, really give a damn about this. Some will even terminate you if you are sending traffic from a website you are not approved for.

Err on the side of caution...
