Just purchased goddaddy domain - help
do I need hosting from them for the domain or did it come with the purchase of the domain? Also, if I use WordPress as my main site, do they offer hosting?

Affiliate Managers are leaders, be proactive and search for some
answers. This is a fairly recent thread and would clarify your
questions (or at least start to clarify) about using GoDaddy as a
    registrar and about hosting options:

did it come with the purchase of the domain
Did you buy hosting..? It would have been offered as part of the check-out process.

I don't know why you're asking this here - check your receipt, and contact GoDaddy.

50EZ50 -- we don't know what plan/package you bought, nor do we
have any affiliation with GoDaddy, so your particulars are not known
to us. Some of us have had experience with GoDaddy and/or with other
registrars and thus we can give some advice but the actual particulars of
a plan or package is between you and the registrar and the host.

If I were an AM, I would separate the registering of my domains from
    hosting.

    AM = Affiliate Manager
"starting out in AM" = starting out in affiliate management

What alternate definitions were you thinking of?

    50EZ50 never said s/he was a manager.

Was trying to understand where you were going...

That "AM" is a tricky thing. I've frequently seen it used to mean "affiliate marketing," "affiliate manager," and "affiliate management." One of those abbreviations that just can be frustrating.

I would assume from context, since 50EZ50 is asking some very basic questions about domains and website hosting that the "AM" means "affiliate marketing." Someone needing such fundamental info probably wouldn't be an "affiliate manager" or involved in "affiliate management."

But of course, as I write this, I'm reminded about the old adage about what happens when we "assume" anything. ( )

Sorry about the AM reference. Will use "Affiliate Marketer" moving forward. I'll check with Godaddy re: the hosting. Being so new, I think it's just best to read and absorb initially.

Thanks to all for the feedback!
