    Adding affiliate banners to Wordpress
I'm trying to add some affiliate banners to my Wordpress site. The banners were generated by CS-Cart Shopping Cart Software and this is how they appear.

    HTML Code:
    <script id="id_script_banner_24" type="text/javascript" src="http://mysite.com/index.php?dispatch=aff_banner.view&bid=18&type=js_content&sl=EN&product_ids=4&aff_id=16>
When I add the code to Wordpress, Wordpress just erases it. It does not seem to like to add <script_id> codes. Has anybody else had this issue with Wordpress? Any workarounds?

    Thanks.

I performed a Google search, "adding affiliate links to wordpress"
and retrieved many responses. Did you try Google?

Assuming you want to display code for affiliates to grab and use and not to display actual affiliate links.

    Try...

    Code:
    [sourcecode language="css"]
     your code here
     [/sourcecode]
You can also try using <code> and <pre> as well...

Thanks the <code> thing worked. Appreciate it. I did try Google but the <code> suggested didn't come up in the search results.

You're welcome - Think the other response may have thought you wanted to show actual affiliate links on your site, not the code itself. In which case a search on BING for: how to display code in wordpress would have yielded some suggestions...

how to display code in wordpress - Bing

NOTE: Don't be scroogled, use Bing...

Wordpress is not script friendly. As you observed when you first tried, it deletes everything you try to add that's inside a <script> tag.

If you want to be able to add PHP script to your blog posts or pages, start by installing the plugin, PHP Execution. Once that is installed, you will have much better results with adding php (and non-php) scripts. You must paste the code in to your post while in HTML mode and you must publish the post from HTML too. If you switch to visual during the process it will wipe out the code you just added.
