Choosing A Website Name - Obvious Vs Not So Obvious?
Hello fellow affiliates. This is my opinion poll/question kinda thingy. I'm just want your advice, but also your personnel preference and why so. I'm really grateful for all your replies - negative or positive.

    My question is...

The Choosing of A Website Name.

Is it best to just go for the obvious. For example let's say I'm selling dogs clothes. Do I choose the obvious website name...

    or

The less obvious. What I mean by 'less obvious' is like a brand kinda name. The name EBay has nothing to do with auction selling. The name Craigslist has nothing to do with classified ads. Online clothing names normally are the same - BooHoo (uk), ASOS. You get the point....

So Newbies, immediate, advance and super affiliates (everyone opinions welcome) Obvious or The Not So Obvious???

If you have huge funds for promotion and advertising, then I think its best for going with the less obvious name. Otherwise its better to go with the obvious names which have keywords in it!

I am saying this from my experience of running and selling several websites, not particularly from affiliate websites!

EBay spends $M a year advertising themselves and developed or a decade ago. They were first in for online auctions.
Craigslist went viral and became a brand.
