    Internet sales tax advances
Missy Ward posted this on Facebook: Internet sales tax advances | April 11, 2013 | Lloyd Dunkelberger | HT Politics

I find this comment very interesting:

Under the bill, the state Department of Revenue would track the money collected from out-of-state retailers and report the number to the Legislature, which would use the proceeds to reduce the communication services tax, with the option of also funding the annual three-day sales tax holiday.
Interested in how they plan to track those out of state sales via the Internet?

Would suspect they could only track what was reported by merchants...

So for Colorado we're they able to get out of state merchants to report their sales for all sales to CO? Seriously its a farce from the state capital that they can do any of this and all it does is force affiliates out of business.

Colorado's law was shot down in Federal Court.

But you're talking about two different things. COLLECTING sales data and ANALYZING sales tax collected.

Second one can only be done if the first one has. Once COLLECTED, it's easy to determine where the tax came from...

I just searched the Florida house and senate bills that were mentioned on this forum and each one seems to have 'died in committee' on May 3rd:

Senate Bill 0316 (2013) - The Florida Senate
House Bill 7097 (2013) - The Florida Senate
Florida House of Representatives - HB 497 - Small Business Fairness Act

Does this mean it's over for now here in Florida, or does anyone know of any other bills?
