    800 or 900 pound gorilla
And I am not talking about Greg Hoffman! Being a bit anal I always try to make sure I use the appropriate cliche (snicker). So is it 800 or 900 pound gorilla?

No that's failing to point out the elephant in the room. No mention about weight as elephants are sensitive to that.

There are actually THREE weight classes for the Gorilla.

    600
    800
    900

I think 600 was in the 70's (Twiggy look)

900 came next - but was not Politically Correct

Not sure, but I think it's now 800...

Not in this case just when I am talking with my wife but avoiding the real subject. But, that is better left alone.

I always use 800, unless it's really big, then personally I switch to 8,000.

But I want to see the elephant!

I think we can't see the elephant due to political persecution...

Had to make this political. For the record, I didn't go that way. Now that you mention it.....

    My gorilla's been on a diet. He's down to a svelte 550.

Hardly takes up much space anymore.

I mentioned this to my wife and she didn't know what I was talking about. Must be marketing language or I married her young.
