Email received about 20 minutes ago. Five minutes later:

Target.com Affiliate Program is now LIVE on Ebay Enterprise Affiliate Network – formerly PJX!

Log into pepperjam, no changes there yet.

How screwed up can these people be? The links Target sent to join their new program go to a page to join PJX - there is no link to apply to Target if you are already in PJX, and if you search for Target among PJX merchants, they are no where to be found.

As horrendous as PJX has been (I've written before here about my wasted time and effort with some of their merchants) becoming part of eBay probably means it will get even worse.

I was just coming here to post the exact same thing, Affiliate Hound. How the heck do we find Target if we're already affiliated with Pepperjam???

Oh, and I just got the PJX >> eBay email now, and hour after the Target email.

Beats me. Unless they wake up and tell us, I guess we'll have to contact the newtork and ask:
"If you encounter any difficulties or have questions regarding your Ebay Enterprise Affiliate Network account, please email Erin Killian, ekillian@ebay.com. You can also call Ebay Enterprise Affiliate Network at 1-877-796-5700. We thank you in advance for your patience during this process."

OK - found it: Go to the "Advertiser" tab and search for "Target" but make sure you are under "All" for Status. The first time I had it on "No Relationship" and did not see it come up. Despite the fairly limited number of merchants one would expect in the results when searching the term "Target", over 100 merchants come up, so you need to go down to the Ts alphabetically to find it.

Two more things I just saw:

    1. Despite their telling existing affiliates they need to "apply" to the new program, I did have (as I'm sure others also have) an offer that I only had to accept, and was immediately put into the program.

    2. This sort of thing that amazes me: In looking at their specific TOS, it says they do not accept sites that promote the use of alcohol, yet they sell a wide array of barware. Are you supposed to promote that stuff on a shoe site?

Thanks! And I found the same thing ... when I finally found Target it said "Invited." Sheesh!

Now how long before links will be valid?

    Thank you again Affiliate Hound.

    No problem, joyaz.

Their deep linking looks like it's available. I haven't built a link and tested yet, but I would hope they would be active now.

I tested one deep link and it landed on the correct product page but the click did not immediately show up on the creative report. I have no idea what the delay in reporting might be.

The click just showed up in reports, so it does appear that tracking is ok.

The interface has now been rebranded to ebay enterprise. Everytime I click on anything, I get a pop up that says, "Unforunately the number of users is limited and there are no vacancies at the moment. Messenger will be not active." Then I have to click OK to make it go away and then next click brings it up again.

    Argh.

Affiliatehound, mind giving me a quick tutorial on how you built a deep link for Target? The method I tried did not work.

I have not had this problem - I've been able to navigate and use deep linking, reports, etc. with no problem. What browser are you using? Try FF is you have not done so.

    Sure.

Go to Creative >> Generic and on the merchant drop down go to Target and click "Filter". Then at the top you'll see "Code Options" where you choose your site you want the link for, a box to add a SID and the box to put in the Target page to which you want to link. Then click "Apply" and the code comes up.

    Tried Firefox, same message.

"Unfortunately the number of users is limited and there are no vacancies at the moment. Messenger will be not active."

Maybe I need to log off, reboot and try again.

The influx of Target affiliates might be causing a resource problem.

    Argh.

The number of users error message went away without me logging off or rebooting.

AffiliateHound, thanks for the deep linking steps, saved me some time trying to figure it out!

I didn't see this coming. It is interesting to see that Ebay Enterprise is interested in affiliate network outside of their own EPN.

"This move aligns our brand perfectly with the eBay Enterprise organization and allows us to enable connected commerce marketing solutions for our clients."

I wish this means a better network not another GAN failure. Have to wait and see.

Not the end of PJX, just rebranded to ebay enterprise.

Probably should change the forum name or start a new one.

and perhaps send them a bill

Yea, I think ebay can afford to pay for a forum.

Let's wait and see what they do overall, can talk to them next month at ASE13. Hate to merge. Leaving GAN for historical sake and to see if they ever sell.

I doubt they want to staff a forum. Plus it opens them up for more criticism if they don't respond to affiliate comments.
