    Alternatives to vbulletin?
vbulletin have decided to not let coupon sites promote them but I have some targeted customers looking for discounts on forum software. I'm looking for some ideas for that traffic?

    What about phpBB?
phpBB is a free flat-forum bulletin board software solution that can be used to stay in touch with a group of people or can power your entire website. With an extensive database of user-created modifications and styles database containing hundreds of style and image packages to customise your board, you can create a very unique forum in minutes.

PhpBB is a free open source project.

I also looked into IP Board which is one of VBulletin's competitors but I could not see any affiliate program.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of forum options, but fewer paid options.

You might look at Vanilla Forums. They have some big clients, although for affiliate purposes, they do offer open source also which could be a down side... The affiliate side focuses on their hosted forum solution, which is a good route for a lot of people to go who want a forum but don't want to worry about the backend.

    Vanilla Affiliate Program

I can't vouch for anything there, just sharing an awareness that it exists.

Huddler is kind of similar, but I don't think they have an affiliate program of their own. I'm not sure which other ones are out there that have paid forum products and an affiliate program.

Unfortunately that Vanilla affiliate page says it closed in 2012.
