ClickBank hops suddenly down for weeks now

I'm using ClickBank affiliate program to promote popular (high gravity) products in a few RSS feeds. For the past five weeks there's been a sudden and unexplainable drop in the number of hops (as shown in ClickBank analytics) from an average of 1000 hops per day to 200 hops per day, although the subscriber traffic to the feeds has been the same (in-fact increasing on some days).
I checked with ClickBank support and they don't have a clear answer. They say that it could be season or product related, but I promote many products (list is refreshed every day) and the traffic has been constant.
What could be the reason for this sudden and sharp decline in outgoing hops? Any guesses or ideas? Is there a way to better diagnose the issue?
Also, is there any other similar but reliable affiliate program that I can use (instead of ClickBank) to display ads in RSS feeds?
