SaleCycle and Affiliate Window’s partnership allows clients to automatically contact people who abandon their shopping cart, booking, or application form with dynamic, personalized messages in real-time. This Flipbook showcases some of the great brands working with SaleCycle to recover lost sales online and the retail industry averages in Q3 2013.
Internationalization of Fashion Brands
The internationalization and expansion of UK retail brands has been one of the key digital trends in 2013. At global performance network, Affiliate Window, we recently received an interesting research piece highlighting the growth of UK brands within international territories.
Affiliate Window Launches Dedicated Compliance Blog
We’re pleased to announce the launch of our network compliance blog. This site is put together by the Compliance Team who is tasked with ensuring our network is kept free from unethical affiliate activity.
We attended Bloggy Conference 2013
Affiliate Window was well represented at the recent Bloggy Conference 2013 in Sandusky, Ohio. Senior Account Manager Jeannine Crooks was one of the conference speakers, sharing affiliate marketing strategies for mommy bloggers, savings sites and niche blogs with nearly 200 attendees.
“It was wonderful having the opportunity to talk with so many fascinating women about what they share on their blogs,” Jeannine said. “Some were inspired by the joys of motherhood, while others focused on specific topics, such as special needs children, blended families, or money-stretching ideas. There were even a few men there too.”
Sponsored by BloggyMoms.com, the conference took place at Cedar Point, the self-proclaimed “Best Amusement Park in the World.” Unlike most other internet conferences, sessions ended early enough each day to allow participants and their families to enjoy the amusement park best known for its huge assortment of extreme roller coasters.
Jeannine has now created an Affiliate Marketing Group which is open to all members of BloggyMoms.com. The group will discuss all aspects of affiliate marketing, including technical implementation, selecting merchants, optimizing content, and advanced marketing strategies.

The House Judiciary Committee released a document offering the basic principles that earmark their priorities for Internet Sales Tax legislation. Seven points were emphasized:
Tax Relief – no new or discriminatory taxes or new precedent for interstate taxation.
Tech Neutrality – All businesses should have the same tax compliance burden, regardless of whether they are brick & mortar, exclusively online, or a combination of the two.
No Regulation Without Representation – Those who bear the tax burden should have the ability to protest unfair rates or enforcement.
Simplicity – Compliance should be simple and inexpensive rather than burdensome and onerous.
Tax Competition – Governing bodies should compete to keep tax rates low and not disadvantage US businesses over their foreign competition.
States’ Rights – States should remain sovereign in their sales tax compliance requirements and processes.
Privacy Rights – Customer data must be protected.
Michigan legislators have proposed legislation which includes an internet sales tax. In Colorado, the Direct Marketing Association has filed an appeal to review the recent appellate ruling reinstating the nexus tax (Colorado’s legislation is not based on affiliate nexus). West Virginia begins collecting internet sales tax effective Oct. 1st. Amazon announced that they will cut ties with all Maine affiliates in response to the affiliate nexus tax implementation in that state.
