Merchant trends over the past 90 days
I always like sharing this type of information. We recently added a whole lot more data to our merchant api, and combining that with Google Fusion Tables we can visualize the data.

    Thanks for sharing this!

Wondering why the conversion rate on Kohls and Neiman Marcus Last Call are so high. Is that primarily driven by time sensitive or coupon-related sales by a few top affiliates?

Taylor, thanks for the question. Think of this as our version of the Google fresh boost. When a merchant shows great potential, they are given a rankings boost. In this case, these two merchants showed a big increase in conversion rate over a short period of time. Our algorithm's will see that and give them a rankings boost. This in turn drives significant traffic to the merchant to see if the ranking should stick, or if they should be pushed down to a more reasonable level in our system.

We have almost no coupon sales, or coupon affiliates, so this would be from product sales. In the case of Neiman Marcus, they have been retaining their killer conversion rate, so their position has remained steady. I'll have to check on Kohl's and see where they are now.

We found your Kohl's numbers interesting as well as OUR Kohl's numbers dropped while our Nordstrom numbers went through the roof

    Thanks for sharing...

Nordstrom has been killing it for us for a while. Kohl's was unexpected. I'll try to run some new numbers and see if they are still in the same spot.
