    LinkShare Payment
Finally found a compatible LinkShare merchant in September.

So I read the payment FAQs and it says "Our standard payment terms require Advertisers to pay by the end of the calendar month once the invoice is posted. For example, commissions earned during the month of October (which are invoiced in early November) would be paid by most of our Advertisers by November 30th and processed and paid, in turn, by Rakuten LinkShare as part of the first December payment batch.

So September should be invoiced early October and paid by the end of October, so payment to me in early November. Now we're into December and still no payment by the merchant.

Guess I won't even get September's money by Christmas.

Crap, I'm sorry it's Linkshare. Can someone move this and edit the title?

Welcome to LinkShare!! LinkShare is not affiliate friendly in my option.

Pretty much everyone at linkshare pays net60 instead of net30. (unless it's walmart, then they just don't pay you at all for months on end)

Then you have to watch out for those merchants that take advantage of the 90 window to reverse/cancel/"return" their sales.

Have one merchant who seemed to have a habit of this - we dropped them for that along with other reasons.

The negative balance from them just carries over month after month and will do so FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - as we will not market them any longer...

Not only Walmart !!! I seen merchants slip past the 6 month report and their for I have not idea if I ever get paid since they only show payment for the last 6 month's (including current month)

We assign a credit limit to every merchant and every NETWORK - and 90 day terms. Ever since that UK network went under a few years ago. Yes it's some additional work for us and we're working on automating the "Off/On" process.

Just no sense in driving traffic and sales and not get paid...

We're finishing up an automated process for the same thing right now. Definitely a big issue industry wide, and hard for the average affiliate to even notice or do anything about.

Now we're in the middle of January and still squat for September. I can't believe LS lets them get away with this. I mean I'm no big fan of CJ but at least they turn the links off so they get no more traffic.

One more week and Septembers payment will be so late its going to fall off the payment chart.

I sent an email directly to the person at the merchant that reached out to me and a few days later I get an email from the AffiliateTraction Canada's Publisher Development department. They tell me LinkShare has been paid and I should see my money shortly. Great.

I go look and there's no change. I reply to the email with a screenshot of what I'm seeing and guess what? Yep, no response. I wait two weeks and send another email. Yep, no response again after 10 days. So it would seem this merchant is paying them to lie to me and ignore me.

    Very frustrating.

For LS to claim to be a cutting edge network, yet not guarantee timely payments, even by so-called premier merchants, is ridiculous.

Yeah based on Linkshare's payment schedule they now owe me commission on just under 41K in sales. Started with this merchant in September and haven't seen a penny yet.

So since Affiliate Traction can't be bothered to answer my emails since I called them on their misinformation, I sent an email to LS support. I asked them how I can track my payment history now that I haven't been paid in so long that I've fallen off the report chart. They reply that they are working on getting the payment and the merchant has been suspended. However there is zero indication in the interface that this merchant is suspended and links still work beautifully.

It's incredible, My first Linkshare experience seems to be just generating lies and/or misinformation from all directions. Not very reassuring.

Not sure if I should say... if there is a small chance I will get my money that could ruin it I would think.
