    Webmaster Tools Data....Opinion Needed
Time spent downloading a page (in milliseconds)

    High 4036
    Average 2051
    Low 928

Since I am technically challenged, could someone give me some insight on this?

To my untrained eye it seems a little high. This site is loosing traffic rapidly and I am looking for reasons even if they may be in left field.

I would say those are a bit high, as well.

This is from one of our sub-domains which is heavy on images/external javascript calls (live chat/monitoring, ad server, etc).

I would consider OURS to be on the high side as well - would like it under 1/2 second (500ms).

There are a BUNCH of factors that play into page speed.

Page construction (images, ads, external javascript calls, etc) and a biggie is one's server...

Thanks for the feed back. The server is my concern. The site is heavy Sellfire driven.......I have similar sites on other servers with numbers that are less than half.

Most of my sites do not exceed the numbers that you show.......I must have something that is screwing this particular site.....Google is treating it like it has bad breath since about Jan 12. (No warnings offered)

Usually there is always something else as well. When you rely on pulling in images / data from a 3rd party you are at their mercy, as well. So a single merchant with unoptimized images can really be a drag...

You can plug your site into G's PageSpeed tool: developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
They give you warnings and suggestions for fixes.
