A major new phenomenon in e-retail: Customers who only use mobile
Knew it was coming, I'll bet that only a third eCom sites are mobile ready.

About one-third of online shoppers at the top 10 retailers as measured by monthly unique visitors shop only on mobile devices, comScore finds. This places even more pressure on merchants to build strong m-commerce sites and apps, an analyst says.

Wondering where this leaves us as affs. We can build / reconfigure our sites for mobile, but if merchants don't have a mobile version, we're stuck.

We've been monitoring the continued growth of mobile, and it is truly amazing. I know what you mean, Renee, it is frustrating when the merchant hasn't created a mobile version yet. Nevertheless, many consumers still find a way to shop the desktop version even on a mobile device, so it's even more important to make sure that the pixel fires to credit you for your sales even in that situation. The network should be able to confirm that for you.

Here's an intriguing question: More Mobile Shoppers Like Convenience of Websites Over Apps

Consumers use both apps and mobile websites to shop, but more find using the mobile browser to be convenient.

In the continuing debate of apps vs. mobile websites for shopping, a new study finds consumers split, with only a negligible difference between the two.
