Why would you need such a person to live near you? You aren't marketing your services primarily to people in Los Angeles are you? I am just curious as to the thinking behind this. It would seem such a person would mainly be emailing and phoning affiliates.
People behind desks in one location will not outperform people sitting behind desks
at another location when it comes to jobs like an affiliate manager.
And in your case I would think someone highly knowledgeable of the industry that hangs out at places like this or webhostingtalk would be an ideal type of candidate for a manager for your affiliate program regardless of where they live.
