I went through the logs of one of my site and found that most of the non robot visitors came in with funwebproducts or hotbar, or both.
Is that the norm for your sites as well?
Looks like these 2 parasites have a huge reach and there isn't much we can do about it.
I don't think the average user will be able to remove those.
So what can we do? Using Dox desk's detection script on a website would help if users are savvy enough to be able to take action themselves, but having once worked at a helpdesk, I don't have much faith in users being able to clean that up themselves. Especially if that thing keep reinstalling itself.
