No, I write my own code but the issue I see with using a site builder from a host is: How hard would it be to move your site to another host if you had issues.
MERCHANTS: Start showing your coupons directly on your site, that way your shoppers will stop leaving your site looking for them!! If not then remove your Coupon Box!!

Some of those built-in site builders look quite interesting. But kse has it exactly right. If you ever want (or need) to change hosts you may have to start all over - and even lose some of the functionality of the dedicated site-builder. In a way you would be held hostage. No fun in that.

I used site builder once ten years ago when I was a completely newbie in terms of websites and affiliate marketing. I think I was using Yahoo hosting at that time. The site builder tool help me build a website with just a few clicks.

But like Kse said, you have to start all over again if you decide to switch hosting service later on.

It is better off to learn some basic coding and with the help of some website building software, you will have the full control of your sites.

Showing my age here - first site I ever built was using AOLpress.

It died with my AOL account, lol...

Tried it once with Bluehost, seven or eight years ago. Seemed clunky, boxy with little features. Sure it's changed since then. Haven't tried the newer ones so can't speak for those. I had a friend built one using his host site builder software a year or so ago just for fun, just to check it out..Bill is right...hostage. He had to rebuild it.

I only have two WP Blogs but in fact only 2 weeks ago I had my new host move the two WP Blogs from HostGator to their servers and everything worked just fine (I did have to delete/recreate the database user, but that was easy to do)

added: So to answer your question yes 100% of the site worked and got transferred.

First (non-commercial) site I built, I hand-coded, editing with "vi" directly on the server. There weren't any site builders (that I knew of) back then. It was just a subdirectory on my ISP. I didn't buy an actual domain name for another 5 years or so!
