    The Best in 2013
It's late this year, but still it is important to recognize the people and companies that make a difference in our industry.

This year, we will ask for your nominations for the Best from 2013 in the eight categories that have been voted upon the last couple of years, plus one new category that was discussed a couple of years ago and which I believe is a needed addition to the Best of selections:

    Best Affiliate Program in 2013
    Best Affiliate Manager in 2013
    Best OPM in 2013
    Best Affiliate Tool in 2013
    Best Affiliate Network in 2013
    Best Thread in 2013
Favorite New ABW Member in 2013
    2013 ABW Legend Award
and the new category: Best Network Rep in 2013

As stated in the Notice at the top of each page, please submit your nominations between now and June 15, 11:59 pm. Voting will then be open on June 16, and will end June 30, 11:59 pm, and the winners announced on July 1. Please provide some details as to why you are nominating this person or entity. Additional comments regarding nominees, pro and con, are welcome.

Voting is now open in eight of the nine submitted categories: Multiple votes are allowed and all votes are private. Poll ends on June 30, 11:59 pm and winners will be announced on July 1. To avoid non-members coming it just to vote for their friends or co-workers, a minimum 25 post count will be required for your vote to count.

There is no poll for Best Thread in 2013 due to no nominations having been received.

Newsletter automatically picks up "featured" threads and I tried making the best of polls featured, but the system will not let you "feature" a poll.

    Can't "feature" a sticky either.

I thought about removing the sticky to feature it. Good idea or not?

I included an "I Voted" image in my sig, with a link to the polls.

In past years, I set up a systemwide notification or announcement, too.

is this still true? Please see: http://www.abestweb.com/forums/1184327-post33.html - looks like we're seeing votes from folks who are new as well.

"a minimum 25 post count will be required for your vote to count. "

There is no way to keep people with less than 25 posts from voting, but as I said, only those with 25 will have their votes count. I have to manually remove improper votes. I have just done that for the OPM poll, which now has a revised, corrected counts. I will do it for the rest of the polls.

Looks like a return to some of the "ballot stuffing" from the last time around - where a few OPWs* 1) appeared, 2) voted, and 3) never returned.

However, I recall that being allowed last year:

I will review all of the votes after midnight PDT to ensure no other -25 voters sneak in and the final results will be available either very early tomorrow morning (late late night here) or as early as possible tomorrow.
