    PPC Fraud
Hey guys, this may be obvious to some of you but I just read this article and it prompted me to look at my program.

How A PPC Fraud Ring Impersonated 300+ Advertisers In May 2014

I looked, and found one affiliate (dealsanddoings.com) were impersonating ads and violating my ppc guidelines.

Definitely worth checking out on your own programs!

As a manager, you should have tight control of all promotions, especially paid search. Some of my programs allow direct linking, some do not. Depends on the merchant. But I only allow 2 affiliates to participate. 2 out of thousands.

I got thrust into this role so I'm learning as I go. I had set all branded terms as not eligible for bidding so they were violating that policy at least. Managing a program is a lot to keep up with I'm discovering.

Terms of service mean nothing unless the program is policed daily. That's half my job.

Are there any tools to help police? It seems like everything I do is all manual checking of each sale.

    BrandVerity.com.

I've been using it for years.

Merchant trademark and trademark plus (coupons) needs to be reviewed weekly if not every other day. You can learn to check for geo targeting and day parting or use a tool like Brand Verity.

With 17,000 affiliate programs available there are so many frauders making money on programs that auto approve applications and have no management. Don't be one of them!

Thanks for posting the article, I read it this morning and passed it on to several colleagues.
