    Problem with PHP code and quotes
    Hi, I am using WebMerge on a site section of PHP pages using forms. WebMerge has trouble reading the datafeed field where I put in the coding, specifically this function:

    $string = str_replace ( ""\"""", """"", $string);

    I assume the quantity of quotes is at fault here, but when I try to export the csv from OpenOffice with other delimiters (tried TAB and pipe), it still gave me errors. Can't seem to solve it.

    Help?

    Thanks,
    Seth

    Sounds to me like your server may have magic quotes turned on, not for sure on that but that is usually the case.

    Not sure why that would be an issue, since the Webmerge is running locally. The problem is that the program can't create pages from the datafeed when this code is in the feed.

    Well that format above is not correct.

    Should be formatted like this.
    $string = str_replace ( "\"", """, $string);

    If you didn't format it the top way.

    Hello Seth -

    Looks like Bob has you covered there (thanks, Bob), but if you still find issues feel free to send me a sample of the feed WebMerge is having trouble with and I'll see what I can do.

    Thus far we've had great success with every format we've encountered, but given the inconsistency of CSV implementations among various vendors we can't rule out the possibility of finding one we'll need to enhance things to support.

    If we do, I'll be eager to see the format to determine how we can support it in WebMerge.
