July 7th, 2014, 12:34 PM #1MLB All Star Teams Announced and Gear Available :)
Who do you think are the big ommissions to this years MLB All Star Teams? I'd like to see the Mariner's 3rd Baseman Kyle Seager in there as he's having a hell of a year, but I'm pretty cool with Cano and King Felix representing the Mariners.
Jeter of course picks up his 9th ASG start at SS in his final game... he's the one Yankee I actually like, so I think it's fitting to see him get a start in his final tour.
There's some cool gear for the ASG this year including the cool retro themed hats from New Era.

I wrote a blog post this morning on this: GARRETT RICHARDS!!!
How could he possibly have been left off?
10-2, 2.71 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 119K in 116 ip
And I personally feel it is OUTRAGEOUS that old man jeter has stolen a spot from the much more deserving Erick Aybar!

Phil, the retiring hall of famer is always going to get a spot... regardless of if he's playing up to it at the time. You know that.
Richards put up some great numbers... maybe he'll end up added as injuries and other factors work in.

With Tanaka out now, Richards should be named his replacement. Chris Sale also deserves a spot.
Shoulda put a smilie face next to the old man Jeter comment. But Aybar has had a tremendous season - best defensive ss in the AL and he's always getting the key hit in a clutch situation.

Wade, where to Mike Trout and Yasiel Puig come in on the top-sellers' list?

So Chris Sale got the fan vote for the last AL player, but Richards should get Tanaka's spot. Tanaka has a partially torn elbow ligament and will be out indefinitely.
