    New Affiliate Platform
I'm trying to login to the new platform (getbetty.com) with my old username/password. It doesn't work.

I want to grab some customized links... that's all. Nothing fancy for now.

    Waiting for a reply ASAP.

    Thanks.

You might try resetting your password.
If I recall correctly that's what I had to do.

I'm logged in now. I've received my new password via email.

I see only a campaign to their homepage... but the affiliate link it's not working.

I'm the only one who's experiencing this problem?

    Thanks.

    Did you click under offers?
There is 6 offers there, they are a popup modal by the looks of things.
You may have to enable java in your web browser.
    I'm using Fire Fox.

I was given this link for example:
    http://bmills.com/?a=1743&c=1&p=r&s1=

I've notice that this platform is Cake... I've heard of it, but never tried it.

I don't know Herb... I have very targeted specific products... so I guess it's easy to find some programs that pay for that.

I'm in the Gardening and Outdoor niche. Betty had good payouts and lots of products but it seems that the affiliate program has "slipped" out of the track for the moment.

I wonder if Victor can chime in this thread!?

    Hey fellas,

I've been following the thread. The issue for us has been we never could tell which of our affiliates were using Goldencan, Popshops, Datafeedr, etc., because we didn't have such reporting.

So because of that, and the relative complexity of launching the datafeed feature in CAKE (which is awesome by the way), we didn't know how to prioritize getting it fired back up.

We still intend to launch it, but the more we know that affiliates are using these tools, the higher up the priority it goes.

We can probably set up more refined tracking with CAKE to see which service is being used.

Anyone else want to comment here?

I'm glad someone is following it.
I thought you gave up on your affiliates, when I could no longer pull your feed and seen that it had been moved to datafeedr, I can pull feeds and parse them but I never used datafeedr. We would rather get them untouched by a 3rd. party.
    Thanks for responding here.

In the old days, we would freely share our content. In today's world, merchants are running to launch marketplaces and there is a tremendous amount of value placed on content. It has almost become as significant as intellectual property is to a software company, so there is more caution regarding allowing an entire catalog of content to be downloaded and freely available given the tremendous amount of investment put into developing it. It's a business decision that has to have the economics to support the decision.

Am confused. Is there a datafeed available, or not?

2 cents: If we had our druthers, we would choose to download the feed direct from BM and NOT a 3rd party/service...

I keep hoping a datafeed will show up. I understand a merchant not wanting to splatter stuff all over the place, maybe segment the feeds so people can work with the areas they promote? I used Amazon to fill in all those pages I had for the office products, but the DOA cookies don't produce commissions to match the traffic. I haven't looked at datafeedr, but like the others here I prefer a feed from the merchant.

Hey Victor... I wonder if I'm able to create customized links with Cake.

I don't want your content... since I'll create mine... but I just want to send the users to laser targeted specific pages not on the homepage (which by the way doesn't work in Cake).

    Waiting for your answer.

Sounds a bit misguided (or not properly developed) to me - especially with some serious affiliates clamoring for a feed. But there are other office products suppliers - with feeds - available. I, personally, am not asking for one because, except for our largest sites, we are happy with GoldenCAN and/or PopShops. But no rush there, we've already installed alternatives.

That's a good question. Let me find out tomorrow. By the way, are you saying that the offer we have on CAKE that links to the homepage doesn't work?

I have not heard any reports, but will check that out. Can you show me your link?

Hi Bill, this is a bit eye opening of a thread. We had delayed the integration with Popshops and Goldencan because we were unsure what the demand was. Hearing from you and other folks here is very helpful. We are not trying to be difficult, we just have to understand where to point our resources.

Ok all set ! the new offer is set up on everyone's affiliate portal. The offer name is called 'Deep linking'.

    Instructions:

This creative allows you to deep link to any landing page on BettyMills. Simply add &ckmrdr=YOUR_LANDINGPAGE_HERE to the end of the URL.

For example: If you wanted to deep link to our Keurig Compatible Single Cup Coffees, after the s1=, you would append '&ckmrdr=' and then add your Betty Mills landing page just like below.

    Kcup at BettyMills

    Cheers !

Great! One down.. a few more to go.

I can use some deep links, but it is not the primary means of traffic generation for me and would be as effective as a banner in most cases. It is good to finally see some movement anyway, but if there won't be a datafeed I need to focus on other suppliers. Since I started out with the BettyMills a few years ago I would like to get that going again.

Ditto. When the feed was no longer available to us on the old platform, we had to stop promoting, leaving a small balance on the books.

Without a feed, we'll write it off as a bad debt...

It doesn't work... but if I'm creating a link for Deep Linking it will work.

    That's funny.

By the way I've sent you an email. Let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks in advance.
