I wonder what useful feature they're removing from the publisher account manager this time...

Probably the ability to see what commission you've earned.

They're adding a "donate" button, whereby you can choose to have your commissions automatically reversed, with the earnings being reassigned to a "merchants in need" fund. Guess what the default setting's going to be?

Actually, I think some of my merchants have already been using a beta version of that.

Wouldn't make any difference anyways... there's nothing there to look at.

It's been a difficult week. At least we made enough for a couple of lunches, but that's all.

Hey I am going to put in a plug for CJ. They are doing a great job! Sales are ok and coming through. There are so many outside influences that are causing lost sales. The biggest current one I can see is parasiteware AND parasiteware removal programs that tag Linkshare and CJ cookies for removal marking them with the category "Data Miner". This removes all return days. We need a new tracking system or we need to bring the anti-parasiteware software publishers on-side.

I do hope this is a case of no news being good news.

Must say, though, that hits are up for me this month after a 6-month drought at CJ. Now if only some of them actually convert . . .

    Fantastic!

No doubt my March commissions will dive massively despite the highest number of click-throughs to date - just like they did in February.

I must consult CJ as to why this happened.

Since CJ has been down I haven't even been able to log in to get my feed.
That just changed a couple of minutes ago as I am logged in to their ftp and downloading as I type.
Hopefully this means they will have the main site back up soon as well.

    Yup ... I'm an optimist

I would be nice if someone from CJ gave us an ETA - some sort of little communique would be nice.........courteous, even.

CJ is giving me commissions for yesterday, but not site stats.

I'm probably the one to blame since I applied for two new programs that manually approved affiliate sites.

Tracing isn’t affected my big ‘ol butt! I just got an email from someone trying to buy something through one of my links and asking me how to do it. My first reaction was to think that she was blind and couldn’t see all the links, but I decide to have a look at the page myself. Guess what! When I clicked on one of the links, nothing happened. My browser said connecting to qksrv.net…. and eventually went to a 404 page. I checked other pages and other links worked (including to the same merchant). Now as I’m writing this, the link is working again. No wait, it stopped working again!

Come to think of it, I guess tracking really isn’t affected. If people can’t click through our links to purchase something, then there’s nothing to track.
