Smile Want to start affiliate ads on behalf of my company

I am new to affiliate marketing, I am reading through some blogs and articles some are very positive and others negative, currently I am looking forward to start putting ads for our website on affiliate pages.

I think in this sense I will be the Merchant?

I would like to know, how to avoid not necessary spending and what are good website to began with, and what type of prices I am looking at.

We have different products, starting from 5 usd to 200 usd, should I start ads for individual products or the website in whole?

Looking forward to get some help

    Thank you,

Some networks use the term Advertiser to denote the merchant. Yes you would be the merchant. As a merchant with a program on an affiliate network you do not book ads on affiliates sites. Affiliates decide to add your banners, text links and/or datafeed to their sites and social pages.

There are some networks like AvantLink where you can pay to get your banners added to affiliates sites interested in offering that.
