Recommendations for a lawyer / attorney
I need recommendations for a lawyer / attorney. I have to deal with a network that has sent me an invoice for junk leads and inspite of me discussing this with them in detail are asking me to pay the invoice. I can provide further details, just ask.

PS: I am posting this here since I don't know where else it fits. The other threads that I have are kind of old and off topic.

Sorry to hear about your situation.

In no particular order (as they are all great professionals):

    * David Adler of Adler Law Group

    * Gary Kibel of Davis & Gilbert LLP

    * Rachel Hirsch of Ifrah Law

    * Tom Cohn of LeClair Ryan

    Good luck!

There are several lawyers who have submitted speaker proposals to Affiliate Summit. You can check those out, as they for sure have studied our industry. You'll probably need to register as if you were voting to see them, but there are quite a few this time!

John Berryhill, he is active with a lot of online disputes, such as domain name issues, trademarks and such.
Following everyone else is a GREAT way to become average.

I would call them all and ask if any have had experience with the network you are going after. Would take you a day to make those calls and you could make a decision and get this settled.

They are just not willing to accept anything was their fault. They are sending it to an outside collection agency. How will this affect us (the company)? Will it show up on the credit report or when someone does a credit check? The invoices are already past their due date.

Here is the thing. I have done lead gen as an advertiser.
    1) Go over the contract
    a) There is usually a grace period to dispute
    b) There is the right way to dispute the lead which is also in the contract

    Yes. There is.
The IO seems to be legally binding. It is linked to this page:

Yes. I raised the issue and sent the email with the details within this period.

I did raise the issues I had and he said he would discuss this internally. But he never got back. Now, the collections rep (internal) is saying we need to pay. The AM and AE are also saying the same thing (which is a change from what the AE said earlier.)

Collection agencies are not the court. You need to file suit for harassment, all calls need to be recorded and no more email, certified letters.
