The 2014 World Series Begins Tonight
San Francisco Giants v Kansas City Royals

The Giants are making their third World Series appearance in the last five years, winning the World Championship in 2010 and 2012. The Royals haven't been to a Series since Hall-of-Famer George Brett led them to the 1985 title, when they beat the rival cross-state St. Louis Cardinals in the last three games after falling behind three games to one.

But this is 2014 - who will win it this season, the seasoned Giants behind hot starter Madison Bumgarner and with probably baseball's best manager in Bruce Bochy, or the young, upstart Royals with their sensational defense and dominating bullpen?

Not a big baseball fan but lived in KC and grew-up close by. Was there when George Brett was king! Might have to keep up with this one.

It's unfortunate that due to Nexus Tax laws, we have a lot of affiliates in KS and MO who could be rocking it with Royals gear sitting on the sidelines in this one.

It's now reduced to a best-of-three with the Series tied, 2-2. There have been some exciting games so far, and tonight's re-match of Game 1 starters Madison Bumgarner and James Shields should be another good one.

Ready with all the World Championship gear to market?

    You know we are

First chance to wrap this thing up for the Giants tomorrow night (10/28) in KC. Got quite a few brands in play as well, depending on whether people are looking at apparel or collectibles and memorabilia - will definitely be some healthy orders on the SportsMemorabilia.com side of the business.

With the tying run on third base and two outs, Salvador Perez hit a foul pop up to third baseman Pablo Sandoval, and the San Francisco Giants, behind a World Series performance for the ages by Madison Bumgarner, are again World Champs. After starting and winning games one and four, Bumgarner came in in relief tonight, and pitched five scoreless innings for his third win of the series, while compiling an ERA of 0.43.
