    Arrow Programatically create deep links
    Hi,

I wondered if you could help me out here.
I am trying to create links programatically for my site.

The general idea is to take all links on a website and create affiliate links from them in a seamless manner.

Does anyone know how to do it with CJ , LS, SAS , PJX , other networks ?

    Thanks,
    Dan

so you are looking to scrape all the links from a merchant site and programatically convert them into a database of affiliate links?

    Not really.
I wish I was that successful as a criminal.

I want to build a mechanism similar to Skimlinks or Viglink (but on a smaller scale).
Just convert all links of MY OWN site and FORUM to affiliated links.

    Can help ?

The problem is that sometimes the links vary from merchant to merchant, and not just from network to network. For some merchants, there will be a standard way to do it, but for others you'll have to build a network link that redirects to a specific bounce page on the merchant site, which then redirects to the intended page. Skipping that merchant-specific bounce page will cause links not to be tracked.

There ARE solutions out there. Take a look at BounceLinks.com, which is represented here on ABW:

    Thanks!
    Looks pretty good.

I have looked but could not find an answer.
What happens with links I am not affilaited with ?
Do I still get anything (like viglink) ?

Why do they gain from the business (from the ones I am affiliated with) ?
What is their business model ?

    Thanks,
    Dan

I may be wrong, but what I think all those services, vizlinks, skimlinks etc, do is to convert naked links like <merchantsite.com> to an affiliate link. They don't always convert it to a deep link, like converting merchantsite.com/bluewidget.html to an affiliate link that lands on the bluewidgets.html.

They are also limited by the technical issue explained by Michael above. So in cases where they can't convert it to deep affiliate link, they just default it to the merchant's home page.

BTW , I looked into bouncelinks - it seems like this site has no mother and father.
No About , no details , nothing...

Looks to me like a project someone left in the middle rather than a real establishment.
