    1. Some underpaid peon in their web/marketing dept. was paid to create the link.

My guess is some upper management might casually said "just add those to the fat girl costumes section" and the tech person simply took it as is without even thinking...

    What's the problem?

Should they rename it "Walmart Average Customer" Costume?

Oh sure, it's OK to have skinny fairies and skinny princesses, and blah, blah, blah - Time for fat chicks to get some love.

Wal-mart is humble enough to accept their fault and made an apology.

Not a fan of Walmart but I do have to give them credit for joining with several major grocery chains in agreeing to follow a new program being promoted by the Fair Food Standards Council and actress/producer Eva Longoria, in conjunction with the the release of her latest documentary "Food Chain", where they agree to raise the price of tomatoes 1¢ per pound, that will go directly to migrant workers, and which will have the effect of doubling their wages which now average $40 per day, based on each such worker picking 4,000 pounds of tomatoes per workday.

The first time I heard about it on the news, it sounded like it's about costumes that make you look like a fat girl.
