Restrict PPC completely from Our Affiliate Program
    Guys hi,

    Affiliate newbie here.
We've launched our shareAsale affiliate program 2 weeks ago.
And recently started having problems affiliates bidding on our KWs.

It's very SMALL niche, and when creating affiliate program we were aiming mostly for blog owners, youtube channel owners, etc.
NOT PPC guys, cause we already pretty much 'dominate the niche' PPC wise.

So we are thinking of restricting PPC completely in our program.
What's the best way to do it?

Can anyone share good 'affiliate terms' template for this case?

    Talk to Shareasale.

Tools - PPC Bidding Rules - add keywords.

Update your program agreement for affiliates. Use Plain English.

Send a message to the affiliates and tell them to stop bidding on ppc. If they don't stop after a week, decline them from the program.

akagorilla thank you for quick reply!

i think we should also switch [auto-approve] to [NO]
And ask them beforehand what are they planning to do.

Cause till now it was auto-approve.

You should never have been on auto-approve... that was a mistake. Greg nailed it with his recommendations. Make sure your policy is clearly stated, give notice, then enforce aggressively. ShareASale actually has integrated a mini-account of BrandVerity to watch your top 5 trademark terms that you specify for activity as well. If you have more that you want to watch, get with BrandVerity on an account. It's worth it.

This is actually not quite accurate, but it is true that we do have a mini-suite of monitoring tools in your account that you can use. If you outgrow that, I definitely recommend taking a look at BrandVerity - great product, and great people.

My bad Brian... saw that you guys provided the 5 KW tracker and referenced BrandVerity for a more in-depth solution.

It's a great starter solution for merchants to police their TM's.

Wade & Brian - Thanks for mentioning BrandVerity. It sounds like the Share-A-Sale is a great fit here, but if it turns out we can help at all, we'd be happy to offer a free test account here.

Otherwise, look forward to seeing everyone at Affiliate Summit.
