Informal poll- do people buy what you're selling, or are you just a portal?
Our of curiosity, I want to ask if most of your sales come from people actually buying what you led them to, or do they tend to go off and purchase something completely unrelated?

Maybe there's a difference depending on your niche- that I don't know. But I'm noticing about a 50/50 split on my end.

One of the things about affiliate marketing is that affiliates frequently don't know specifically what was purchased by the consumer, unless you are only offering one product on a site. If you are working with merchants who offer thousands of products, then an affiliate can only know if product-level reporting is in place.

Ah OK- I get it now. lol All the merchants I deal with have product reporting. I haven't come across any that do not; I assumed they all did. Newb status +5.
