Question Coupon/loyalty/rebate sites and recruiting affiliates?
    Hi all,

I was wondering how does one apply to a coupon site if they are a merchant and are these sites generally a good place for a merchant that sells B2B products (apps) to recruit affiliates? I'm not sure I understand how they work for us yet

    Thanks for your input guys!

Are you a merchant or an affiliate?

If you are a merchant and have an affliate program with one of the networks, the coupon sites will find you - quickly and in droves.

However, for some of the larger coupon sites, you may need to establish a sales track record first.

If you're an affiliate you don't deal with them - they would be a competitor...

Thx Convergence, we are a merchant and have our own in-house aff program with our software for tracking, etc. Since we haven't applied to any networks yet as a merchant, but intend doing so I was wondering what's the process from there...coupon sites find our program and they contact us? How can I do it the other way around and is it even good to do so if our product is digital? And does this apply to comparison sites, rebate, cashback, loyalty sites, etc. Thanks

Good chance they would not be interested unless you're on a network. Once on a network they will easily find you as they tend to apply to every program almost instantly...

B2B is shopped the same as B2C and if you can offer a discount you can get placement on coupon sites. You will have to contact them and as Convergence mentioned most want the network links due to trust factor.

Well, if you are in the network the affiliates (coupon sites) will deal with the network, unless they decide to bypass them and get in touch with you directly. Which usually happens after they see good convertions on your campaigns ion the network.
