    Importing CJ Data Into GA?
Sorry if this has been asked before (can't imagine it hasn't, but haven't been able to find a thread that discusses it), but is there a way to import CJ data into GA to understand which marketing channels contributed to the affiliate conversion? I'm asking as a publisher.

Basically, what I'm looking to understand is how to allocate resources properly. I know I can do this directly from CJ with PID's, but I prefer to use GA for channel marketing since their reporting suite is just so much more robust.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    thanks!!

Have to ask: What data are you wanting to collect?

The goal is to marry the conversion information that CJ provides with the marketing channel information that GA provides so I can know if {for example} my FB advertising campaign is driving a ton of traffic, but my email campaigns are driving the conversions.

You have to create a campaign in GA and take that source referrer into CJ. You will have to work with CJ tech to get it added to all affiliate redirects by appending it to the links. We have used simple ones that can be identified by GA such as ref=CJ. Or you can use the more complicated one that GA will create.

No as a merchant/advertiser. Not sure if CJ tech allows an Affiliate/Publisher to push a referrer but its worth asking.

I don't believe it works that way as an affiliate/publisher. That's the problem. I can't imagine that there isn't a solution for this, if not how do the big sites (RMN, Ebates, etc...) optimizie their campaigns?

There currently is NOT a solution for this.

Cashback and Sub-affiliate networks rely on the 'SID' for reporting sales. Any other campaigns they do is to their site where they would track their user sign-ups, then they can track if that freshly signed up user continues on to purchase. But two different sets of tracking. Without your pixel firing on the merchants confirmation page along with the networks you have nothing to import back into analytics.

However, I have been wrong in the past...
