    Guidance on control panels
    Hi Team,

I wanted to know which are the top control panels that are Linux supportive? Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards,

I know this thread is old but it's a question that a lot of people may want answered. Even ten years from now. If you have the money to spend. cpanel is the markets leader and has been for years. Most hosts offer cpanel hosting these days. By the way. What did you end up chosing?

cPanel is the best by far, and with so many hosts running it, you can switch hosts easily by backing up and transferring your cpanel account.

I agree. That's something I forgot to add. So many hosts run cpanel that you have a wider array of hosts you can transfer to if something should happen. Sometimes it's pretty hard to transfer content from a free or cheap control panel to cpanel. It can be done though and is getting easier. Still easier if you start off utilizing cpanel though.

cPanel on an unmanaged VPS will probably up your monthly cost by $15-20 for a site license, and possibly use more memory. There are other viable options out there, many open source. Here's a decent control panel comparison chart. Spend some time to learn: this can save you $$$ and time down the line. It really isn't all that daunting. And you'll have a much better understanding of how the shoulder > arm > hand > finger bones connect.

Don't ask what I use: it's nunya business.

P.S. - Last release dates aren't accurate on this chart, many have later 2015 releases. Due diligence required, as always.

cPanel is probably the best option and this is why it is widely used in all over the world.
