HTTP Ads is an interesting take on advertising from the creators of ****edCompany.com.

Basically, it allows you to directly sell ads to visitors as an impulse or "vanity" buy - the visitor basically hands you a wad of cash to show their banners on the site. HTTPads take a slice of commission (of course).

It's a pay-per-display program a little like Google AdWords. Might well be worth checking out, I guess especially if you have a loyal visitor base.

Dynamoo,

The weird thing is that we have been working on something very similiar (little more "advanced" tho )

I don't understand.
You have to "buy" a zone in order to "sell" ad space?

I have it on one of my sites that gets over 4,000 uniques a day.

So far I've sold $0 worth of ads with it

I think it's one of those things where you need a LOT of traffic.. but the idea is neat enough, if you have the right kind of site. I think it would suit sites with a lot of techies visitors.
