    How Will This Simple Trigger Word Improve Your Click-Through Rate?
    There is a very powerful "trigger" word in the English language that we should be exploiting in our websites and affiliate product descriptions.

    ...Because repeating this "trigger" word and following up with compelling reasons to click through to the merchant will dramatically increase your response rate.

    ...Because applying this technique will enable you to leverage human psychology in a completely ethical way to achieve more click-throughs and commissions.

    ...Because if you use merchant-supplied product descriptions you will have identical content to many other affiliates doing the exact same, and Google won't reward you with the ranking you deserve.

    So, what is this magic "trigger" word? I've used it several times already, probably without you noticing.

    I am sending out several dozen direct solicitations with invitations to programs I manage. I started implementing the because on my first follow-up emails and seemed to get double the responses.

    Affiliates might pull the MERCHANT product datafeed and import it into their website. If they don't edit the descriptions they will have the exact same description as appears on the merchant website.

    The descriptions are perfectly good for the merchant website. If you have traffic to your site, some visitors may well click through and you may earn some commissions.

    But - our job as affiliates is to PRE-sell - remember?
    You're 100% correct in that example, but...

    If you're promoting just a few hundred products, it can be done with time and dedication to be unique on the descriptions...

    But. when you're dealing with thousands of products from just a few different merchants datafeeds, .... it's not possible to be 100% unique on every product page description... Unless you hire some body else to do the writing for the: "Click Here Because", ...

    I still love and use datafeeds, but after 2005 I have learned that you can still make more money with an inedependent merchant with a few good selling products, than with some network with 100's of merchants and millions of products on all those datafeeds they have... ( Unless you like to pay for traffic.)

    Btw, I don't know why I decided to post today but..., I think the fd of G. made me do it!
