The good news is, I haven't made a penny with BlueLight.com. wooohooo... still have to pull a couple of links, though.

They might not be nearly as dead as the word "bankruptcy" implies.

I see in that article that they filed for Chap. 11--Reorganization Bankruptcy. With a Reorganization, operations do not necessarily cease! In fact, a lot of reorganizations mainly involve the renegotiation of payment terms.

The article also says that they got debtor-in-possession financing. So they're not actually out of money...at least not yet!

Although whether that 89c EPC affiliate program of theirs will survive is another thing...

Oh yeah, lots of companies that file for Chapter 11 protection are like phoenixes rising from the fire after "re-org" (often to be reduced to ashes over and over)... but unless they can show a healthy ROI on an affiliate program, I'm guessing affiliates will be among the early rounds of reorg.

Some bankrupt companies still in operation mode:
- Boston Market
- Fruit of the Loom
- Wolfe Camera (still have affiliate program)
- Polaroid

Start changing all BlueLight banner w/ Wal-Mart banner.

I knew BlueLight was a dud when they sprinted out of the CJ box with the stunning 3% commish and 1 day cookie ...

I said stay very far away from the Blue Light

Add Service Merchandise and The Outpost at Linkshare to your list of bankrupsy removals and PcConnections at BF is caput on 01/23/2002. Good Old Martha Stewart slide out the back door without a network announcement.

Why to go leader ...

I's just as soon use Amazon with their 5% commish to fill that void ...

Heck ... They are starting to show an operating profit as Bezos said on CNN yesterday.

Maybe they can start to at least do away with the $10 max so we can push the higher ticket merchandise
