Big chuck! You know the search engines rank you now by how quickly a searcher returns to the search engine after they go to your page ... you going to wait even a day to lose your rankings because everyone who clicks on your link goes back to the search engine immediately?

I don't know about him, Rosie, but I would!

Better to lose a couple of slots than have the links down when the spider comes by--and lose the listing altogether!

Uh, Rosie, this is wrong. Only Yahoo and the soon to be gone Direct Hit use any form of click-thru component in their ranking algorithim. None of the others do. Just a FYI.

Hi Markymark! Great to see you here!

Hey everyone, I know Markymark from another board, and when it comes to search engines, he really knows what's what. He'll be a great addition to ABW if he decides to hang around!

Leader, I don't know what you mean by this, because I really do lose my rankings when visitors click right back to the search engine when they click my page, get the CJ deactivation page, and it's like a 404. Not dropped a couple of slots ... it's almost dropped off the engine! And I had some in the "ten most popular" as well as #1 and 2's in Website listings. So when you say ...

Do you mean you would take off the links and put some other ones on, or what would you do?
