I have been developing these sites for a few years and gather between 80,000 and 150,000 Sessions per month. I have rights as the developer to place banner ads. Does anyone have any good affilliate ideas that might be appropriate for this this space.

    Hi Elvis,

Glad to see you're still in the building. Since both sites are geared towards Toledo, I would search on the web for some Toledo businesses that have an online presence. Offer to post their banner (if they don't have one, offer to make one for them) for $x amount each month. Offer that to say 5 or 6 businesses, then put a rotating banner script at the top of each page and rotate the banners.

They get targetted local traffic and you get a certain amount of "free" money each month. That's what I'd do anyway.

    HTH,

Better to go after advertisers which are destination spots for those living in Toledo. Places like Detroit/Windsor Casinos, Henry Ford Musieum, Greenfield Village -Detroit Zoo -Puttin Bay nightclubs ..Local Banks?? Best yet would be a 3.2 Beer sponsor.

Another thing you could do is sell cheap plane tickets to Toledo, car rentals, hotel reservations, and other things like that...provided anyone actually travels from a distance to see the Mud Hens!

It may be more likely than it sounds due to those who grew up watching the games and get a nostalgia thing going... Not a big fat money maker but it may bring in sales in-season.

I see they're selling pieces of the new ball park...that insinuates that there's pieces of the OLD ballpark that could be coming up for sale... buy the old pieces and sell 'em if you're interested in the Merchant-side! Anyone who liked the old stadium in all the time it has been standing is a likely candidate, along with every baseball nut in general!

I will note that with all the competing products and content on that site, it will be quite hard to sell anything from a banner! So don't be disappointed if it takes A LOT of views!!!
