I need to find a free email company that pays per lead. There used to be some at cj but not anymore. I also remember there was one that you could choose all different addys like you@doctor.com but they seem to have gone away from free services.

    Whatever happend to 1999????

    I've searched everywhere.

If anyone is interested in volunteering their own free email ie everyone.net or whatever you have, I would prefer that over sending them away to some free (Hotmail.com type) accounts.

I don't know the value of the customers but my plans are to offer this to people who sign up for my ezine as throwaway accounts if they are afraid of being spammed. Since I won't be spamming them it is likely they will keep the accounts.

The link would look something like this

Still worried about spam? Sign up here for a free email account.

Nothing is free on the net anymore. Companies like Everyone.net, iSyndicate, Yahoo, found out that giving away free services supported by advertising dollars wasn't a as viable business model as they first thought. Then came the advertising slump and these companies realized they had to charge or go under.

Once micropayments become a reality, content will cost too.

Heyder, I can't actually tell if they're really still free but http://bigmailbox.com/html/ used to offer something similar to Everyone.net, but stuck with email. The title on the main frameset page still says free, fWIW  .
