For your info, advertising.com are owned by the same people as teknosurf - who are the same people who run getpaid4.com. getpaid4 is/was a program similar to alladvantage but banned a very large number of members, wrongly accusing them of "cheating'. I know 'cause i was one of the banned and never cheated - many many others reported exactly the same thing.

Just a couple of pages re getpaid4 (none of these pages have any connection with me) :

http://www.yourcashathome.com/ paid2ended.htm
Mentions false accusations of cheating

http://w ww.mail-archive.com/daily@atlanticbridge.net/msg00006.html
Mentions incorrect stats

http://web.tiscali.it/a ziende/sponsors/english.html
Calls getpaid4 a "scam"

Personally I wouldn't touch advertising.com/teknosurf/getpaid4 but that's just my opinion.

Things are getting a bit stormy.

I am not at this point going to be specific about what is happening.

It is my hope that this will work itself out. I'll write more soon.

Guffy, I have been there for several months now. My account manager there is certainly one of the most helpful people I have met in this entire industry. She has always answered my emails in a very timely manner, if needed she will even go so far as to call personally. I am sure that this current issue will work itself out and they will continue their good business practices.
I'll keep you up to date.

Well here's the deal.

Advertising.com really is an outstanding company.

They have a TOS that say's you cannot replace the advertiser creatives withour permission.

To make a long story short, the link code had somehow rubbed off onto a neighboring image. I actually had no idea in the world this had occured. Well, let me tell you, they knew! And when I got a non-compliance email from them I knew too. (BOY DID I KNOW)

After careful consideration they decided to re-instate my account.

They really do have a top notch network, all the biggest names are there. If you decide to sign-up be very careful how you cut and paste the code!

One lesson learned, unawareness can kill!
I'll certainly be as careful as possible in the future.

Thanks for being even handed!

Haiko, I would recommend you go ahead with your program. They really showed the depth of their company today. I'm sure they won't let you down!

Have a good weekend!

Breeze,

Don't you just hate stupid mistakes ... I know I've made them before and probably will continue to

It is very reassuring that they are a such a stand up company!

Glad you got it sorted Breeze.

Yep, It's happened to me in the past as well.
Some html editors are very fond of altering the code when you hit the save button.
I make it habit to preview every page in IE and check the links before uploading.
But still sometimes errors creep in unnoticed
It only takes that /a tag to move down a line, and woosh.

Well here we go again.

I just got another email from them:

We have elected to terminate your account because your subject line is misleading.

Subj: Wanna go out tonight?

Body: Contains links to Dating Sites!

Am I missing something here.

As far as I can see the subject line is quite relevant!!!

After this I am just wanting to get the $ they owe me. I am certainly not interested in working with the jackoffs any longer.

They don't know who they are jerkin around do they?!

I have a funny feeling they may be about to find out!

I received over 10 of the same e-mails and now understand why advertising.com is on the ISP banned e-mail list at 3 watchdog sites. Seems they're a hub for list brokers and compete with doubleclick for exposure on the parasite networks like Morpheus. What they do with the click results is questionable and their affiliated partnerships sure have nothing to do with pay-per-performance.

Go review the posts at F**kedcompany.com on their existing company and all their former ones.

Avoid this network at all costs!

They are backstabbers!

They also do not care one little bit about their reputation. I guess at this point that goes with out saying!
