I usually only see roof salesmen (after a hail storm), painting and window salesmen, and of course magazines. Otherwise, no one. I think it's marginal at best.

We get contractors and real estate brokers several times a week year round and school kids selling newspaper subscriptions and candy but their spiels usually sound like scams, they are NOT school fundraisers but are other private deals that are very suspect (The local area newspaper is very big on scam subscription "deals"). And we get people selling religion.

Local businesses also leave fliers and door hangers, but generally do not knock or want to talk and sell.

We have a city election in November so right now we also get people canvasing for their candidates as well.

    Significance? Minimal at best.
