Well, I was accepted at shareasale and (automatically?) rejected at CJ.

At shareasale you say "DealSpin accept only US leads." -- I guess that's the reason for not accepting me. Most of my visitors are from the US. But how would an advertiser know this?

Karl,

Thanks for your feedback,

Leads at dealspin are defined by active participation in our auction.

In order to participate (spin) users must provide billing information including billing address.
our registration is limitted to US only addresses.

CJ allows for automatic sort process by country shareasale (to my best knowledge) doesn't.

Hope that helps.

PS how are you doing with the program through shareasale?

Peles,

dealspin is not in heavy rotation on my site. The statistics so far:
About 4,000 impressions, 16 clicks, 1 lead. Not bad.

I think an advertiser should not limit an affiliate program to US publishers only, even if the leads are only accepted if they are from US visitors. You can reject a non-US lead. Advertisers that automatically reject applications depending on the country of the publisher limit the reach of their program.

If I send the wrong (= untargeted and/or wrong citizenship) people to a site, I will remove the ads from my site anyway, since I'm not making enough money.

If you fear fraud, there are a lot of good fraud detection methods available and I guess that that's not the reason for not accepting foreign publishers (maybe ther's an exception for 2 or 3 countries, I don't know).

But of course, it's up to the advertisers whom they accept.

All the best,
Karl

BTW, I forgot to mention that I'd like to have 300x300 creatives too. Most of the current banners are too flashy. I prefer slow or no animation.
