I looked at your site and the first thing I saw was a big phone number at the top. I then entered vehicle info and the page that came up with details and pricing said to call to verify programming, and another message said that you may need to pay a locksmith for "cutting and programming".
1. How can affiliates be sure that their commissions will track with all this phone calling? Are your reps trained to obtain affiliate information and to make sure that affiliates referring customers receive proper credit for sales?
2. It appears you are only providing the hardware and the additional cost of "cutting and programming" could be substantial and time consuming, and may be difficult if the customer's previous key is lost or unusable and the vehicle cannot be driven.
If a customer starts the process through an affiliate link, then stops to find a locksmith and the amount of the additional cost, and then calls back maybe a day or two later and then completes the transaction, will the affiliate absolutely receive their commission?

I understand your questions ad concerns Phil.
1. Our CSRs inquire to the calling potential customer about how they were referred to our website; Google search, specific website, friend or family etc.. and they record it. This is how we close that gap for the few phone sales we actually process. 99% of the time the customer is just calling to clarify a few things before they proceed to complete the purchase online through our website.
2. Yes, we provide the "hardware". We assist our customers with locating automotive locksmiths to do programming/cutting for the products they purchase from us. The cost of the key/remote(from us) plus cut/programming from a locksmith in practically ALL cases, is cheaper than going to a Dealership for the product and work. In either case it's an inconvenience for the customer when they lose or have a broken key/remote. A locksmith average service fee for mobile travel isn't as much as a tow to a dealership as well. Many keyless remotes for vehicles prior to 2006 are self-programmable so the customer doesn't have to incur any other costs. We send programming instructions with all of the self-programmable keyless fobs.
"If a customer starts the process through an affiliate link, then stops to find a locksmith and the amount of the additional cost, and then calls back maybe a day or two later and then completes the transaction, will the affiliate absolutely receive their commission? "
"Our CSRs inquire to the calling potential customer about how they were referred to our website; Google search, specific website, friend or family etc.." We haven't had a customer not remember where they came upon our website/company yet but it's always possible Phil. So would it be 100% absolute? I cannot say that, no.
